The government informed Parliament on Wednesday that it had blocked 3,000 websites which hosted pornographic content. 
In a written reply in Lok Sabha, the information technology ministry said "most of the child pornographic websites are hosted from outside India".

Punjab orders audit of trusts, removes trustees

The politically appointed chairmen and trustees of the Improvement Trusts across Punjab have been removed with immediate effect. Disclosing this, in a press  release here, Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu said he had taken the decision to ensure greater transparency and efficiency in the working of these trusts. He said the trusts would now be headed by Administrators (Deputy Commissioners/SDMs) appointed by the government, till further orders.

Man held for attacking woman inside US gurdwara, charged for rape attempt

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted rape and assault after he attacked a woman inside a gurdwara in the US state of Oregon. Timothy Walter Schmidt was intoxicated and was walking by the shrine in the Oregon town of Gresham Sunday night. He asked to use a restroom at the gurdwara and was allowed inside.

Sushma Swaraj reassures safety of Nigerian students
