School dropout count in Haryana district

Chandigarh, March 22 (Punjabkhabar Bureau): Haryana additional principal secretary to chief minister, Dr Rakesh Gupta, today directed officers of Fatehabad district ddministration to launch a special door-to-door campaign for identification of children who have dropped out of school and ensure 100 per cent admissions. 

Dr Gupta, who was presiding over a division-level meeting to review the implementation of various schemes, directed the officers to work towards improving the learning levels of students. The officers assured him that the learning levels according to their class would be improved by August 15, 2017. 

The officer also directed the police and health departments to work jointly for curbing sale of psychotropic drugs at chemist shops. He also directed that cases registered against persons involved in the drug trade be pleaded in a strong manner in court. 

Lauding the improvement in sex ratio in the district, Dr Gupta urged the administration to ensure the sex ratio in Haryana reaches the 950 mark. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had also lauded the improvement in the sex ratio in the state over the last two years. He also directed all chief medical officers to bring about improvement in health services. 
Dr Gupta said that the municipal council and municipalities of  Fatehabad would be declared open defecation free by March 31. All cities in Jind district would be declared open defecation free by June 30 followed by Bhiwani and Hisar by May 31.
