Srinagar (KNS): Backsides holding different functions and cultural programmes, people also offer special prayers on this day. In Kashmir it’s celebrated as a holiday with fervor and enthusiasm .The day is also known as Nauroz-e-Alam.
According to him this festival carries great importance in our life, guiding us to remain on the path of truthfulness with unshakable faith significance. Besides that he also added that this important day is also observed as World Arbor Day and appealed to the people in his meeting to join hands in planting maximum possible number of tress for preserving the rapidly deteriorating environment.
By biding an end to the meeting he hoped that this auspicious day would be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity and also wished that this pious occasion will be the beginning of felicitous and prosper life of the state Jammu & Kashmir.
