SPP-NPCI to exchange India-Pakistan Media persons to promote peace

Chandigarh, April 17: The Governing body of National Press club Islamabad    (NPCI), Pakistan on Friday (April 15)  approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Society for Promotion of Peace (SPP) and the representatives of the NPCI at Chandigarh for exchange of journalists to promote peace and amenity between the two neighbouring countries-India and Pakistan-.

The signatories to the MoU are: Chanchal Manohar Singh, Chairman, SPP, Mr Imran Yaqoob Dhillon, Secretary NPCI, Pakistan and Mr Muhammad Ishaque Chaudhry, Finance Secretary NPCI, Pakistan.

Chandigarh, April 17: the Governing body of National Press club Islamabad    (NPCI), Pakistan on Friday (April 15)  approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Society for Promotion of Peace (SPP) and the representatives of the NPCI at Chandigarh for exchange of journalists to promote peace and amenity between the two neighbouring countries-India and Pakistan-

The MoU was signed on April 11, 2016 after the long deliberation over the issue at the seminar on the Role of media in Promoting peace in South Asia held in Chandigarh from 8-12 April, 2016.

The Society for Promotion of Peace (SPP), Chandigarh and National Press Club Islamabad (NPCI), Islamabad signed a memorandum of understanding   on 11 April, 2016 in Chandigarh to exchange visits of media persons from print, electronics, radio and news portals for promotion of peace and amity between India and Pakistan.

This memorandum was signed after a meeting of the representatives of the two organisations who held   deliberations in Chandigarh for an hour over the situation in both the countries and felt that it was the need of the hour that journalists from both the countries play a positive role while reporting the developments on both sides of the Indo-Pak border to solve the long standing issues concerning the two neighbouring countries having common history and common cultural roots.
