Markfed launches 'Sohna Amla' and 'Aloe-Vera Juice'

Chandigarh October 04, 2017: Amarjit Singh Samra, Chairman Markfed and S. Arshdeep Singh Thind, IAS, Managing Director Markfed today launched Sohna Amla and Aloe-Vera juice at Markfed Head Office Chandigarh. On this occasion Mr. Samra appreciated the contribution of Markfed in the field of food processing sector also for introducing innovative products at regular intervals for the consumer.

M.D Markfed explained that ‘Sohna’ Amla juice is prepared from natural growing Amla of forests of Kandi area of Punjab, which has more vitamin C than normally cultivated Amla. Mr. A.S Sekhon Executive Director (Marketing) informed that Markfed is purchasing Aloe-Vera juice from “Unnati” Co-operative Marketing cum Processing Society, Talwara and the procurement of the material is done under the guidelines of department of Bio technology, Govt of India. Mr. Sachin Garg , Manager Canneries explained the benefits of Amla and Aloe Vera juice.

Bal Mukand Sharma, E.D Markfed added that “Unnati” Co-operative society has network of 400 farmers of Kandi areas. Reputed Pharma Companies like Apollo, Medi Plus, wellness Forever and Health Care are also dealing with them. Daljinder Veer Singh Virk, member BOD, Markfed appreciated the initiative of Marketing Division of Markfed and inspired the team to become more aggressive for better reach out.
