India vs Sri Lanka, one-off T20I: Virat Kohli

9TH sEPTEMBER - India complete tour whitewash 9-0 as they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the one-off T20I in Colombo on Wednesday.

Riding high on captain Virat Kohli's 54-ball 82, India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in one-off T20I in Colombo and complete the tour whitewash. Earlier, India beat Sri Lanka 3-0, 5-0 in Test and ODI series respectively.

Chasing the 171-run target, India lost openers early but rode on a brilliant stand between Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey to seal an emphatic win. Kohli was out after scoring a 54-ball 82 but Manish Pandey stayed there right till the end and hit his maiden fifty in the format in the process. Earlier, spinners did a fine job for the visitors after Munaweera hit the ball to all parts of the park during his breezy 53. This is a staggering result for India as they return home without tasting defeat. The Virat Kohli-led unit earlier beat Sri Lanka 3-0 and 5-0 in Test and ODI series respectively.
