2 arrested youth sent to NIA custody till Sep 16

Srinagar, Sep 06 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today raided 11 locations in here including six businessmen.

The two youth are accused of stone-pelting incidents and mobilizing protesters for stone pelting at security personnel during counter-insurgency operations.

NIA officials said that raids were carried out at locations of six businessmen in Bemina and Downtown in connection with the funding case for creating unrest in the valley. Raids were also conducted at 5 locations in Delhi.

Meanwhile, the two youth arrested by NIA on Tuesday, including a photo-journalist, were today sent to 10-day NIA custody for questioning.
District Judge Poonam A Bamba allowed the National Investigating Agency (NIA) to quiz Javed Ahmed Bhat from Kulgam and Kamran Yusuf from Pulwama till September 16 after the probe agency said they were required to be confronted with the other accused in the case.
The two youth are accused of stone-pelting incidents and mobilizing protesters for stone pelting at security personnel during counter-insurgency operations.
Meanwhile, separatist leadership including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik today said that they will court arrest at NIA headquarters in New Delhi on September 9.
NIA has arrested seven separatists leaders and they have been put in Tihar Jail. (KNS)
