Now Ludhiana to have 95 Municipal Corporation ward

Ludhiana , August 2017: Now Ludhiana Municipal Corporation wards. The Ludhiana city is all set to have 95 wards of Municipal Corporation. The survey of delimitation of wards is on last stage and the members of survey committee suggested 95 wards from 75. The wards will be divided on the basis of population. In every ward the population will be fifteen thousand.

Member of committee for delimitation of ward, Sunny Bhalla said that the survey is on last stage and the final report will be submitted till August 30. Bhalla said that at present there are 75 wards and in some wards the population is two thousand or in some wars twenty nine thousand residents lives. Now they have divided the wards of basis of population and in every ward the population will be fifteen thousand. 

Now Ludhiana Municipal Corporation wards. Another member of committee, Ishwarjot Singh Cheema said that the final report would be submitted with MC in next few days and after the notification MC elections are expected in November.

The local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has announced that the notification of increase in number of wards will be issued shortly. The survey was started in May and for this the MC has hired staff through outsourcing company.However the proposal to include villages in outskirts of city in MC limit was passed in General House meeting but it the outskirts area was not included in the survey due to shortage of time. The term of MC house will be over in September and the elections were already delayed for two months. Now Ludhiana Municipal Corporation wards.
