Separatist leaders issue protest programme on Burhan anniversary

Srinagar, Jul 5 (KNS): Joint resistance leadership, issued a week-long program on first martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Muzaffar Wani and his two colleagues.

Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr Omer Farooq & Mohammad Yasin Malik appealed people to follow program in letter and spirit and with persistence. As per program the weak long protests will commence from july 7th till july 13th.

In joint statement, they said that people from nook and corner of the state took to streets and ignoring all curbs and impediments were eager to have a last glimpse of their favorite hero.

Lamenting authorities for employing brute force and declaring restrictions, said that braving bullets and pellets people made their inroads and however it was quite gloomy situation that within first three days more than 18 souls were snatched by brute forces that followed by worst ever massacre and with the result 118 innocent lives fell to bullets & properties worth billions were razed to ground.

Giving details about the mayhem, they said that during people’s uprising in 2016 more than 18 thousand were maimed, two thousand and two hundred blinded, 11 thousand arrested and 17 thousand residential houses and 8500 vehicles smashed and ransacked.

The leadership said that martyrdom of Burhan Muzafar Wani and his two colleagues infused a new life in resistance movement.

Resistance leadership ridiculed the pro-Indian politicians for their deceit and said these parties betrayed the mission of those pious souls martyred on 13th july 1931.

Resistance leaders while lashing at these politicians, said that they have no right or justification to visit these or pay their homage as they are exploiting their sacrifices.

Joint leadership expressed deep concern over the continuous loss of lives of innocents and said that it is outcome of threatening statement of Indian army chief that innocents are being targeted and mercilessly killed without any justification. (KNS)
