Amrinder to expand his ministry soon

Chandigarh : After the completion of 100 days of the Captain government, a process has now begun to expand the Cabinet. According to the information, eight more ministers are likely to be included in the cabinet. It is being said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh will discuss the issue with Congress national vice president Rahul Gandhi at the end of the first week of July. During this meeting, he will finalize the names of the new ministers to be included in the cabinet.

It is being told that one of the Dalit MLAs will be made a minister and in this regard, the name of Congress MLA from Amritsar (Western), Raj Kumar Verka is named. Young leaders will also be given a place, Raja Warring and Vijayinder Singla are leading in this category. The issue of giving representation to Doaba is also important.

According to the information, Captain is pressurizing the government to increase no. of seats in the Cabinet as it is affecting the functioning of several departments due to the full Cabinet. So, the Cabinet is expected to expand in the middle of July. In addition, some legislators are also preparing to be made Parliamentary Secretaries. According to the sources, it is also being said that the no. of cabinet ministers, number of parliamentary secretaries will be same. In the meantime, the Congress will bring a bill in the next session of the Vidhan Sabha to make the parliamentary secretary to adjust the three legislators who have become MLAs.

Prior to Doaba, only Rana Gurjeet Singh is in the cabinet, so now two MLAs Pargat Singh and Sangat Singh Giljian are in the front row. There is more chance for Giljian.

Out of other senior leaders,Ludhiana MLA Rakesh Pandey is more likely to be involved in the ministry, while Surjeet Singh Dabur is also in the race. Randeep Singh Nabha from Amloh and Sukhjinder Randhawa from Gurdaspur district may also get a place in the cabinet.

Gurmeet Singh Sodhi from Ferozepur district, Surjit Dhiman MLA from Amargarh and Hardial Kamboj from Rajpura are also in the running for the post of minister. Those MLAs, who will be left out of the Cabinet will be made Parliamentary Secretary and some senior leaders can be given Chairmanships.
