Haryana to provide electricity from card based small meters

Chandigarh: With a view to putting a check on the theft of electricity, the Haryana Government has decided to install Smart Meters and electricity would be provided through card. It would be supplied only to those consumers who regularly paid their electricity bills.

          This was disclosed by the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, while interacting with media persons in Meerpur, district Rewari, last evening.
          In a reply to a question, he said complaints were received from two districts regarding wrong reporting of sex ratio. These would be got investigated and strict action would be taken against the guilty, if any. “Sex ratio of two districts will not have any significant impact on the sex ratio of the state as a whole
