Haryana Govt plans 2 schemes to provide land to industry

Chandigarh : Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today that the state government was preparing two schemes to make land available for entrepreneurs to establish industries and provide source of income to villages. The Chief Minister said after identifying land for projects, the state government would approach the farmers and offer to purchase their land.

Misled into ordering CBI probe, claims former Home Secretary

Chandigarh : Former Home Secretary Subhash Chandra Goel, who had said “yes” to the proposal for a CBI inquiry into the Manesar land case, has now written to the CBI Director, saying that he was misled into accepting the proposal as the matter had already been decided by the Punjab and Haryana High court.

Pak national held living in temple for 9 months in Haryana

A Pakistani national, who was living in a temple here for nine months under a false identity and had even got Aadhar and PAN cards, was taken into custody, police said today. According to his passport, his name is Raja and he is a resident of Hindu Colony, Larkana, in Pakistan's Sindh province, police said.

Haryana board declares revised Class 10 results after merit list goof-up

Bhiwani : The Haryana Education Board released an incorrect merit list on Monday evening, inadvertently playing a cruel joke on three girl students from Fatehabad district. According to the results announced around 4 pm, Monika Rani from Bhirdana village had topped the state by scoring 493 out of 500 marks. Three hours later, her world came crashing down. The education board issued a new list, which had a boy - Yudhveer Singh from Sirsa district's Lehranwali village - occupying the top position with 499 marks.

HSAMB to e-auction commercial sites

Chandigarh : With an aim to bring transparency in sale of its commercial sites, the Haryana State Agriculture Marketing Board (HSAMB) has introduced e-auction of shops and booths. Beginning June 1, the HSAMB will sell its commercial sites in 14 grain markets and vegetable markets through e-auction during the next 8 days.
